I don't like the music performed on American Idol, but I watch anyway.  I enjoy hearing Simon tell the singers how bad they are after Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul finish telling them how great they were.  Last night's show was shocking.  Melinda Doolittle out, and Blake what's-his-name in?  Are you serious?  The human turntable is actually in the finals of a singing competition?  I heard a lot of people criticize Sanjaya Malkar and say, "if he wins, American Idol will have no credibility and it will go off the air".  Well, I hate to break the news to you, but American Idol doesn't have any credibility.  If you think I'm wrong, then explain how Antonella Barba and Haley Scarnato were able to make it to the top 12 and beat out tens of thousands of other people.  In case you're lacking common sense, I'll explain it to you: naked pictures and short skirts.

    Blake what's-his-name is a joke.  He's a mediocre voice (at best), and a sound-efect machine.  If he is able to make it to the finals of American Idol, just think about how well the guy from Police Academy could have been if he pursued music?  He could have gone quadruple platinum!  It's really unbelievable.  Oh well, Taylor Hicks doesn't appear to be doing much, so maybe it's a blessing in disguise.
